How this is calculated
Each connector fault stops the line. Total line downtime per fault is the full duration the line is not producing — waiting for the electrician to arrive, diagnosing the problem, making the repair, and restarting. Troubleshooting and repair time is the hands-on portion where a technician is actively working on the fault (this cannot exceed total downtime). Production loss is costed at the line rate for the full stop duration. Labour is costed separately at the maintenance rate for the hands-on time only.
